During 13th Slovenian power engineering conference Cigre-Cired, representatives from company Dalekovod d.d. presented a paper they wrote about the first two ACCC® conductor installations completed in late 2016 in Croatia.
The paper and presetantion described design and installation considerations encountered during the first ACCC® conductor installations of two connected 110 kV overhead lines in Croatia: the 12.6 km 110 kV Sinj – Dugopolje line and the 9.4 km 110 kV Dugopolje – Meterize lines owned and maintened by HOPS, the Croatian Transmission System Operator.
The main reasons of installation ACCC® conductor was increasing line ampacity , increasing line clearances due to increased residential zone near the lines by keeping the existing towers and foundations.
The lines were reconductored during September and October in 2016, with CTC Global´s field supervisor present throughout conductor installation. The ACCC® conductor was manufactured by Lamifil, supplied by Elektro Merkur d.o.o. and installed by Dalekovod d.d. following the engineering design created by Dalekovod Projekt d.o.o. and with hardware provided by Dalekovod Proiozvodnja d.o.o.
